  1. What are you most proud of in the Child Soldiers Essay?

  2. What element did you struggle most in researching and writing this essay?

  3. How do you think reading and writing about child soldiers prepares you better to select and do research for your passion topic?

  4. Select one or two SPECIFIC writing trait(s) you think you need the most improvement in.

    1. Consider the traits that we have been using to evaluate writing so far (ideas, organization, sentence fluency, voice, word choice, conventions, grammar, use of evidence)

    2.  Why do you think this is the area you want to improve on the most?

    3. Explain specifically what you think you need to do to improve in that area.

    4. Generate 3 ideas of specifically what you want to focus on in the editing/publishing process or  do to improve

1. In the Child Soldiers Essay I am most proud of myself that I managed to use Noodle Tools and undrestand the MLA format.

2. I struggled the most on the word choice I was using to become a better writer.

3. Reading and writing about child soldiers perpare me better to select and do research for my passion project, because through mini-lessons I learned to skim through articles, take notes, identify key words, and more.

4. I think that in my writing I need to work on organizing my evidence with the right topic, and focus a little bit more on word choice. When I received my rubric back after it was graded i was at a level I needed to improve more on organization. Also, because organization has been a problem since last year for me. I would also like to improve on my word choice, because I feel like I'm not thinking a lot on my word choices when I write. Also, to become a better writer and when I've been reading, I felt and learnt that word choice matters a lot. I would want to make at least 3 different word choices, check all of my evidence if it goes together, and check if all of my evidence have an analysis.
